It didn't quite hit me that it was chinese new year's eve last night.
After a whole dinner, family chatter, phone call to grandma, mandarin
karaoke and angpow, the sense of the festivity still felt rather
distant. That was until a YouTube search turned up all sorts of
cheerful grating Chinese new year music.
